As our business continues to grow in Asia, we’re pleased to welcome our new Singapore-based associate Lucy Mackay.
Lucy is a highly experienced, people-focused fundraiser and events manager, with a particular expertise in healthcare. Lucy’s experience in the not-for-profit sector includes fundraising and events management for Combat Stress UK (Veterans’ mental health charity), Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres and Prostate Cancer UK charity.
I am delighted to be part of the Global Philanthropic team in Asia. Singapore has a long history of philanthropy and, given that four of Forbes’ 2014 notable Asian philanthropists are from the Red Dot, it clearly has ambitions and potential be a philanthropic as well as financial hub in Asia Pacific. However, there is always the need for sustained and strategic giving which will allow not-for-profits to plan effectively and not be at the mercy of national or global economic conditions. Working with Global Philanthropic’s consultants across the region I very much look forward to building collaborative relationships with both organisations and individuals and hope to help them play their part in making the world a better place.
