Atlantic fundraising data science guru Chris Steeves has been appointed Senior Consultant at Global Philanthropic Canada, effective immediately. Chris is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
“Chris is a very important addition to both the Atlantic team and our overall national network,” said CEO Guy Mallabone. “He brings another dimension around using data and technology to drive donor engagement at a higher level. Chris will be a strong asset to our clients right across the country.”
Chris has over twelve years of professional fundraising and development experience working with both small and large teams. He understands the new challenges facing the charitable sector and is passionate about helping forward-thinking teams embrace new forms of relationship building using data-driven insights and technologies.
With a focus on effective communication and relationship building, Chris has a solid background in Development and Advancement. He led successful fundraising efforts and served as the Director of Advancement for the Halifax Grammar School for four years and seven years at Dalhousie University in the annual giving and major gift departments.
Recently, Chris served for five years as Vice President Development for Fundmetric, a firm focused on turning one-time donors into lifetime supporters. He is passionate about making it easier for the charitable sector to embrace and adopt data science technology.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University in Marketing Management. He is active in AFP and is the Past President of the Nova Scotia Chapter. He was the recipient of the 2015 Outstanding Professional Fundraiser Award.
